150 years ago a world record was set by the barber Josef Baumann in the city hall of Buchen (Germany).

He had aimed to himself to release so many men as possible from his beard in one hour.

Now Buchen is looking for new king of barbers!

In 1858 the news that an English barber had released 70 men from the beard in one hour walked around like a brush fire. He boasted about the fact that nobody could rival him. The barber Baumann did not let a matter rest. He bet about 300 guilders that he could shave faster than the Englishman.
